Opinion about politics

I liked Alex Atamanenko because he was the only candidate to say that we need to find a peaceful solution in Afghanistan, instead of fighting, we need to talk it out. Plus he started speaking in French and Russian.
I think that the Conservative party will probably win the election even though I am voting for the NDP Party.
I am on the left wing even though I play right wing in hockey. I am on the left wing because of my beliefs. For instance don’t agree with the idea that the government should legalize marijuana because more people would do it and it would be a huge mess, I also don’t like the idea of trying to privatize healthcare in Canada. On the other hand I agree that the laws should be harsher so that more people that are career criminals should have a stricter sentence.

Political Cartoon

Stephan Dion Holding a gun to his head. He is wearing a suit. Holding the gun to his head I think that he has a lot of stuff on his mind. The bubble Says, Why are people always telling me to pull the trigger? It seems that he’s not very popular. He’s gonna get shot down at the polls.
I don’t think that the message is that effective because he is threating his life So people would vote for him. I don’t agree with this point of view because he is threating his life. I think that he will loose the election.

Climate Change Opinion Peice

Climate change opinion piece

Should we do anything about global warming? Some people think that we shouldn’t do anything about it and some people do, so which is the right answer? I think that we should prepare for global warming. I think that we should be safe rather than sorry.
Global warming is when the suns rays enter the atmosphere and are reflected back but there is too much carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to let the carbon dioxide out of the environment thus causing greenhouse gasses which warms the earth.
What is causing global warming?? There are a number of reasons but, the most apparent is co2 emissions caused by transportation and coal powered factories in industrialized nations such as china and the United States.
Some of the effects of this climate destabilization will be irreversible. One of the main concerns is the glaciers. If they dry up the water source is gone and if the water source is gone peoples crop will die and their animals will die forcing them to move or adapt. The people that live on coasts will have to move inland and the people that live in places with little or no water now will move to places that have water causing that place to use more water than they can produce.
I know that coal power factories provide work for hundreds maybe even thousands of people, but I think that they will have to shut down all of the big coal factories and find places for those people to work in the new economy. Cars, planes and boats should be more fuel efficient of the scientists should invent an alternate fuel source that works, but is inexpensive.
